About the brand
Joseph P. Piscitelli, Sr., an American designer of Italian origin, founded his jewellery brand in the late 1950s. Initially, his products were marked with the abbreviation "PIM," but in 1960, the company was renamed Piscitelli Co. The family-owned business was located at 1125 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island.
With a small team of designers and craftsmen, Piscitelli Co. specialized in creating high-end costume jewellery. The business thrived particularly in the 1980s, and today, their pieces are highly valued in the vintage jewellery market.
The company closed its doors in 2003.
